Exploration and Environmental Geophysics
In the Exploration and Environmental Geophysics (EEG) group we develop new methods for acquisition and processing of geophysical data for exploration and environmental applications. A significant part of the group is concerned with 3D surface and borehole seismic data. We also research 2D and 3D georadar, resistivity and magnetic methods. In addition, a major effort in the group's activities is directed towards research on physics of wave propagation in heterogeneous media, wave-equation based acquisition, and waveform modelling and inversion methods for exploration and environmental geophysics applications.
Our group is also responsible for the external page Joint Masters in Applied Geophysics programme and hosts the students during their second semester, and some for their fourth semester thesis projects.
