Dr. Christian Böhm
Dr. Christian Böhm
Lecturer at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences
Christian is a senior research scientist in the group of Seismology and Wave Physics. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich in 2015. His research focuses on inverse theory and wave-based imaging with applications in seismic tomography, medical imaging, and non-destructive testing.
Christian is a lead developer of external page Salvus, a software package for full-waveform modeling and inversion.
In more general terms, he is interested in nonlinear and PDE-constrained optimization problems, optimal experimental design, and high-performance computing.
