About the institute
The Institute of Geophysics is part of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at ETH Zurich and our goal is to deliver leading research and teaching over a wide range of geophysical disciplines.
Activities range from theoretical modeling towards experimental and observational geophysics, from studying small-scale processes in the shallow subsurface towards large-scale processes forming the Earth and other planets.
The Institute of Geophysics is divided into the following research groups:
